What SDARC is
A protocol that separates holding data from the authority to use it. An application borrows purpose-bound authority while the owner keeps control and can end the loan.
Public guarantees
- Owner-controlled authority: the individual remains in control of whether authority exists.
- Exact-scope permission: permission is limited to the approved recipient, purpose, data, operation, and lifetime.
- Cryptographic revocation: withdrawn authority can no longer be used.
- Restore-proof enforcement: restoring an older system state does not revive withdrawn authority.
- Verifiable bounded outputs: applications receive the approved result and evidence of its scope, not reusable source data.
What developers integrate
- Create a ClearanceIntent describing the purpose and requested result.
- Present the ZeroGrant Element so the owner can approve or decline.
- Receive only the purpose-shaped result and its verification reference.
Honest limits
- SDARC does not recall information that a recipient has already received.
- Security claims describe architectural guarantees, not a legal safe harbour or a claim that any system is unhackable.
